THE RICH? THEY ALSO CRY!
Bible Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-28 (18)
Prof. Alberto took his son, Paolo on a trip to the village to show him how poor people can be. They spent time on the Albertini’s farm, a family regarded as the poorest in town and then, Prof asked: Son, can you see how poor they are? What did you learn? Little Paolo replied: We have a dog, they have four. We have a pool, they have rivers. We have lanterns, they have stars. We buy foods, they grow theirs. We have walls, they have friends. We have encyclopaedias and they have the bible. Then, he concluded by saying, “Thanks Dad for showing me how beggarly we are”.
Beloved, what are you still grumbling about? Your life, marriage, career or what to eat and wear amongst other issues? (Matthew 6:25-34). But, wait a moment! What if you are long gone and forgotten? Appreciate the breath in your nostrils because “when there is still life there are abundance of hope” (Ecclesiastes 9:4). Moreover, does thou value life? If yes! Then, don’t be an ingrate like that rich fool who thought it was all about his wealth, forgetting that the rich may also cry (Luke 12:13-21).
