BREAKTHROUGH WITHOUT ACHIEVEMENT!

Bible Text: Matthew 12:43-45 (44)

Man was created to shine and to fulfil destiny (3 John 1:2). But, there are powers that won’t allow men to attain their glories until death (1 Peter 5:8). Nevertheless, thank God for the power of prayer and deliverance (James 4:7), by which these forces are chased out. Hence, they will allow you progress but will return as read in today’s scriptures (if you go cold), to work hand in hand with current dominating spirit(s) in making sure that you don’t achieve anything tangible with your existing testimony. And remember that, “for every level, there’s a new devil”.

A man who had gone through the hurdles of electioneering eventually won the polls and was due to be announced as winner, but few hours to the event, he died. A success story without actualisation of its cause! That’s why you have to watch out because even Pa. Moses having led Israel through the thick and thin saw the promised land (Numbers 27:12), but never set his foot in there (Deuteronomy 1:37). Uncle Job had everything but the enemy was bent on making sure he has nothing to show at the end of his life (Job 19:8-10). Oh! Bro. Judas was a disciple but made zero impact except for hanging himself (Matthew 27:3-8).

But, what actually is “breakthrough without achievement? It’s an example of a man who got promoted without financial or status change. Similarly, it’s like the pathetic story of a brother who finally got admission after 11 years but got killed in a fatal accident on graduation day. Eh! I decree! Any power waiting to disgrace you at the gate of celebration, shall die, in Jesus’ name. Therefore, have you experienced several breakthroughs so far in this year and nothing to show for it. Check! There may be some powers that have vowed to ensure you live a fruitless 2016 (Isaiah 54:15). They have said, you got married or travelled overseas but let’s see how you’ll make it. But, as you’ll pray today, God shall fight for you!

PRAYER

1. My business, marriage, studies and career without achievement. Receive divine touch and be fruitful.

2. Any power that has vowed that I will not step into my glory in the remaining 32 days of the year, die!

THE BREAD SELLER!

 

Bible Text: Psalms 113:7

A lady left the village to make a living in the city by hawking bread. This mother of two who couldn’t speak English would go about doing her business worth $20, making a daily profit of $1. One day, during an artist’s photoshoot she was coincidentally snapped on camera as she passed by smiling with the tray on her head. Subsequently, the beautiful picture went viral and the photographer felt that she could be a super-model. Hence, this local bread seller was sought after and presented with numerous modelling and advertising contracts with top organisations worth hundred thousands of dollars.

 

Overnight, she became a star so much that she got a luxury house and a scholarship to study English. No wonder, during an interview with CNN she was in tears, saying that her family were still in shock seeing her on national TV. What a change of story which buttress our bible reading today that God can transform a nonentity to become a global topic just as Joseph moved from pit to the palace (Genesis 41:37-45). Therefore, what are those downgrading jobs, local businesses, ideas and talents you’ve got that are yet to be uncovered? Work at them and keep going! (Ecclesiastes 9:10)… Very soon, God will announce you (Proverbs 18:16).

 

Beloved, come to think of it! What if this lady had not walked by at that time (divine direction)-Numbers 9:23) or being cheerful when pictured? No one would have discovered her natural qualities. So, irrespective of your present circumstances; always be happy and optimistic (Proverbs 15:13), because “No condition is permanent” (1 Peter 5:10). You want to pray. But, are you Born Again? (Romans 3:23)

Ted Williams was born on the 22nd of September, 1957. After serving in the US. Army, he went into drugs, robbery, forgery and other criminal offences which he was consistently jailed for. Consequently, this father of nine became homeless and started begging on the streets for alms. Looking tattered, he would hold a placard which he wrote: “I have a God given gift of voice, I’m an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times. Please! Any help will be great-fully appreciated”.

One day, Mr. Chenoweth, a videographer met him on the roadside and told him to present a short radio advert while he shot his video. Soon after, the video was posted on YouTube and guess what? Ted’s video got millions of likes and global attention so much that within a week he received lucrative advert contracts for radio, TV and top organisations worth millions of dollars. In an interview, he said: “I had to employ a man to handle my calls because i had too much offers”.

Ted moved from the prison to begging and then to a multi-millionaire with mansions all over America. Beloved, what is your own excuse? Is it your background, dented reputation or qualification? They don’t matter to God, once you are now in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17); He will carve out your glorious destiny so that you can begin to maximise your potentials. 1. Father, I bless You for the gift of life and health amongst other things.

 

2. Lord, please forgive all my deliberate and unconscious sins (1 John 1:9).

 

3. Daddy, open my eyes to see the invincible cause of problems in my life and health, in Jesus’ name.

 

4. Jesus, the great physician. Please, perform spiritual surgery on me and set me free from (mention), in Jesus’ name.

 

5. Bitter waters in the cup of my life, marriage, and businesses. Dry up, in Jesus’ name.

 

6. Every discomfort within and around my body. Fire of God! Destroy them now, in Jesus’ name.

Glory be to God! Where people are being laid off from their jobs due to current hardship in the country, God blessed my husband with a permanent and fantastic job. The beauty of it is that the job is in Port-Harcourt where we reside. God has taken away shame and reproach from my family. May His name be praised!

Beloved, only God could have done these and to Him be the glory. I remembered then the Holy Spirit categorically told me to tell the first testifier to quit her relationship and get back to her country that her husband was waiting (do you know that was a hard thing to say?). But, she did and God confirmed His word and also settled her with a good job/business. Likewise, the other sister went through several relationships but we kept on encouraging her and God did it.

That’s why you want to pray this weekend that the divine purpose for being where you are today should manifest. Because, this year, you must dance your dance, in Jesus’ name! But are you born again?

In a world of corruption, violence, falsehood, envy, pride, disaster, terror, penury, sexual immorality, abuse and homosexuality. We need a sure place we can run to for safety, comfort and assurance (Proverbs 18:10). Because, these present times can be likened to the era of World War (II) when nations were in great turbulence. However, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Mrs. Ruth Caye Jones then wrote the evergreen song, “In Times Like These”, which has been a blessing to generations.

Similarly, one day in a time as today, Jesus was sailing on a ship with His disciples when suddenly there arose a great storm that the ship was to capsize. Consequently, the men quickly woke him up because he was asleep. Then, He arose, told off the wind and spoke to the storm and immediately, there was a great calm. Beloved, of a truth, life may sometimes be discouraging and tempestuous on every side because this is not our final destination (John 16:33). But, whilst still here, amidst those challenges; can you trust Jesus, the prince of peace to take you through? (Ephesians 2:13-18)
Because, He is the solid rock and foundation (Matthew 7:24-27)

Note: This message is only for people who are tired and eager for a change because we’ll cry out in desperation to God to speak peace to these global issues and personal crisis. This weekend! Don’t take it lightly, make it a moment of divine encounter for a turnaround. Be Born Again!

A KING IN YOU!

A KING IN YOU!

Micah 4:9(a)
Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee?

Have you seen a king’s action or heard his commands? They are followed to the letter. For example, if her royal majesty Queen Elizabeth (II) of England declared bank holidays for a week. So be it! Because her words are powerful (Ecclesiastes 8:4), which is similar to how God created the universe in 7 days that everything He said took perfect shape (Genesis 1). Consequently, we that are of Christ bear His light and life in us (Galatians 2:20) which is our hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Therefore, from today, you too will begin to decree as a king and your utterance shall receive backing, in Jesus’ name.

Beloved, beyond reasonable doubt there is a king in you and I, because we are children of the most high God (Psalms 82:6). Moreover, if earthly monarchs could place judgement, how much more we (1 Corinthians 6:3), the chosen generation (1 Peter 2:9) and joint heirs of the heavenly nation? (Galatians 4:7). If that being the case, why are we then faced with diverse oppositions and challenges? Check! Maybe you have underused your authority as a king. Hence, when next trials come you overrule them because, “Kings don’t beg, we decree” (Job 22:28). And so I prophesy, your story is changing for the better today, in Jesus’ name.

Therefore, as stated in today’s reading, stop complaining. Instead, pray and “never look down on yourself, for you are not made to be a mediocre; your best is about to emerge”. As a matter of fact, I see you rise to become who God has called you to be. However, are you Born Again? If not! You remain a slave to sin (Proverbs 14:34).

PRAYER

1. Thank God for His love and faithfulness over your life and household.

2. A Blank Cheque… Begin to decree as a king all what you desire before month end. They are granted!

STAND UP FOR JESUS!

 

Bible Text: Romans 8:31-39 (35)

 

To stand for something is to hold firm to the belief irrespective of the repercussion. Perhaps that was the case of Kim Davis, a 49 year-old county clerk who refused to endorse a same-sex marriage certificate in the US. (Romans 1:21-32). Amidst protests and court orders constraining her to sign, Kim who annually earns $80,000 stood her ground and maintained that, “she would neither sin against God nor betray her conscience”. Consequently, she risked her life, lost the job and was jailed (2 Corinthians 4:8-11). Similarly, Habila Adamu, a Christian northerner in Nigeria got attacked by insurgents after they had massacred every of his neighbours.

 

These extremists asked him to deny Jesus and live, and of course he refused and was shot on the forehead. But, guess what? Despite the bullets piercing through his skull, he survived miraculously. Christ showed up for him as of the days of Peter, Paul and Silas (Acts 12:5-12 & 16:16-36), Job (Job 2:8-10) and the 3 Hebrews in Daniel 3 who were all ready to die for the cause. Because, when you stand stiff for God; He shall arise for your sake even at the dead-end (Isaiah 43:2). Therefore, Apostle Paul is asking us today that, “what can divide us from the Lord? Could it be wealth, fame or our life’s challenges?

 

No matter what! Determine to proclaim for Jesus come what may! And as you “represent and advertise Christ in your dailies, your rewards shall not elude you”.

Be Born Again!

1. Father, endow me with Your grace never to compromise my faith for anything at all.

Bible Text: 1 Samuel 17:1-58 (26)

We live in societies where dreams are often thwarted. As a matter of fact, many visionary and potential leaders have drowned in the ocean of misery because they lack courage and answers to the questions of life. In today’s reading, Mr. Goliath dared the Israelites by boasting and fear engulfed everyone except David who asked for the “prize of the challenge”. Similarly, at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, British Derek Redmond’s quest for victory in the 400 metres relay was cut short midway on track when he tore his hamstring.

But note: he never gave up! Because he knew that “it’s better to finish anyhow than to exit at the middle”. Consequently, with the pain and tears, his Dad walked him through the finish line and by that lion-hearted gesture, till date he has become an encouragement to the entire globe. Beloved, in this journey called life, you and I will be faced with those trying times (John 16:33), which is why we need to know the prize to gain when we rise to the challenge or what we are laboured with, if we quit!

Therefore, who and what are your Goliaths? If any! Like David, you’ll confront to conquer because there is a definite light at the end of your tunnel. Oh! Hear Chad Bowen who said “Difficult situations create exploitable opportunities for those strong enough to persevere”. Are you a student? Then, focus on the end goal of success. As intending couples, abstain from immorality and visualise your day of glory. Eh! In this Christian race, fix your mind on things above (Matthew 6:33). Why? Because, “there is a glory after the pain (eternity)”. Be Born Again!

FACE THE MIRROR, CHEST OUT AND DECREE:

You my challenges! I may be down now but I’m not out. I’m coming up! I’ll fight and win the reward for the delays, past failures, sickness and hard times (Mention).

It’s still November, and so I’m bouncing back because, Proverbs 24:16a tells me that “a just man falleth 7 times and riseth up again”. Therefore, my uprising is now!

JESUS IS ALL YOU NEED TO SCALE THROUGH (Psalms 34:19)

BE UNIQUE!

 

Bible Text: Daniel 1:1-21 (8)

 

To be unique is to be different and incompatible. It is when one stands out from worldly norms thereby rising where others fall, walking when they crawl and soaring above limits. In 1 Samuel 17, Goliath boasted, “Choose a man to fight me” (vs. 8) and fear gripped Israel. But, smallish David asked for the prize of the challenge and stood out of the crowd. No wonder, he became a king (2 Samuel 5:4) and ages after, our Lord Jesus is still referred to as the “Son of David” (Matthew 1:1). Moreover, his earthly son, Solomon did the unusual when he gave 1,000 burnt offerings in a day. Consequently, he became the wisest and richest king (2 Chronicles 1:1-12).

 

In today’s reading, Daniel chose to be exceptional by not defiling himself with the king’s meat just as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow to the golden image when others did willingly (Daniel 3). As a result, they got sudden promotions (Daniel 2:46-49). Why? Because, when you stay peculiar for Christ’s sake, He will elevate you far above human comprehension. Therefore, in this world of adverse moral decadence, can you remain untouchable? (1 Corinthians 15:58). At work and society! What are you known for? Oh! If you claim to have the swag and can’t talk about Jesus; it’s a pity!

 

“Our current generation presents a tangible opportunity to stand out; because out of darkness does light shines brighter” (John 1:5).

Can you be the light? Be Born Again!

 

PRAYER OF DECREE

 

I… (name) receive the grace to always be motivated, standing and sold out for God, come what may!

 

Therefore, from today, where others complain, I will encourage the world. Where they faint, I shall soar in holiness and overflow in blessings and irrevocable favours. So help me God!

 

THE WORLD SHALL COME TO YOUR RISING!
