THE LAWFUL CAPTIVE!

 

Bible Text: Isaiah 49:24-26 (24)

 

The early eras witnessed massive shedding of innocent bloods by our forefathers who were sold out to dark powers. Consequently, many potentials and destinies are now held up in bondage to pay for the atrocities of the past. For that reason, a lawful captive is someone who is kept in a place of confinement (spiritual or physical) through a legal deal or transaction. The blood is a crucial determinant of why a family lookalike, act and operate a common peculiar pattern, because they share the same bloodline (Leviticus 17:11).

 

Therefore, the question is: “what is your family history? Have you taken time to identify any? In the family, do men easily prosper or why are the women getting married so late? Sister! Why is it only married men that propose to you? Brother, have you even asked why that disease persists in your lineage? Because, in some families, the men don’t live longer than certain peak ages. As a matter of fact! Many have started to live the same lifestyle that led their parents to poverty and wrong choices in marriage. And you say, it’s normal. Haven’t you read about that family in America?

 

Beloved! You and I need to ask questions, “for to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritual is life and peace” (Romans 8:6). Life is indeed spiritual (Ephesians 6:12)… Wake Up! Many glories, newly born and even ministers have been subjected to a life of pain and untold hardship for sins they never committed. That’s why, you and I will tackle these negative patterns and demonic stronghold in our foundations. After all, “If the foundation be destroyed, what can you do? (Psalms 11:3). You can pray! But, are you Born Again?

 

PRAYER

 

1. Lord, forgive and cleanse me of every repercussion of my parents and forefathers’ sins.

 

2. I break! Every family stronghold, evil patterns and soul-ties holding my destiny, breakthrough and fruitfulness (mention).

 

3. Daddy! Open my spiritual eyes of understanding and show me the source of my problems.

PRAY YOUR WAY TO BREAKTHROUGH

Bible Text: Matthew 17:21

 

In life, nothing comes easy. To succeed, marry, conceive, staying healthy and maintaining spiritual fitness against kingdoms of darkness; you need to take what you want by aggression or else, you perish on the battle field (Matthew 11:12). Because, there are forces of hell set out to hinder us from reaching our goals in destiny (Daniel 10:12-13). However, there is a key which can unlock the strong gates and dismantle every unholy gathering against your rising this year (Isaiah 54:15). Prayer is that key, and it is a two-way wireless communication with God (Philippians 4:6).

 

Prayer empowers the poor above the rich and set prophets above presidents, because it controls the physical from the spiritual (Matthew 16:19). Life is indeed spiritual! There are certain things you personally know you can’t achieve easily due to the nature of your background. For example, in some families, women don’t get married or until certain ages. There is a family where no one surpasses an average level of success. In others, maybe it’s a particular sickness. Identify yours today! Because, today’s reading tells us that such foundational problems amongst other issues cannot go except by fasting and prayer.

 

Moreover, to achieve anything tangible in this gruelling world, we need to move beyond the physical. That’s why I’m inviting you to a 3-day fasting, prayer and praise programme starting tomorrow (September 30-October 1). Let us load our heavens for a great shower of blessings in the last phase of 2016. But, are you Born Again? (Lamentations 3:44).

 

PRAYER

 

1. Heavenly Father, please deliver me from prayerlessness and grant me the power to pray my way to breakthrough this weekend!

 

2. Ancestral curses and evil family pattern attached to my life and children, break and die!

 

3. I reject last minute death and tragedy. I decree sudden miracles and divine turn around!

“Until you get spiritual, you might never understand the secret to your problems…”

WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!

 

Bible Text: James 3:5-8

 

The tongue might be a concealed organ but has the power to mould and terminate one’s destiny (Proverbs 18:21). Just yesterday, the English football manager who was on a contract of £3 Million yearly, lost his job because of some shameful comments he made in the past (Matthew 12:37). Words can return to hurt (Psalms 39:1), watch it! Similarly, in 1953, Derek and Chris bungled a warehouse in Croydon. Derek, who was on ground floor got arrested and as the police went up to nab Chris. Derek shouted, “Let him have it” and Chris shot the police.

 

Consequently, Derek, who was 19, was hung for that statement. While Chris who killed, spent only 10 years in prison because he was underage. I pray! Your mouth shall not bring your doom in Jesus’ name. However, are your words constructive or destructive? (Ephesians 4:29). Because, the way we perceive, surmise and express differs, or don’t you think Derek might mean that Chris should surrender the gun? Hmm… After several debates, in 1998, the British Government pardoned him in death, but it was too late. I pray! Glory after death shall never be your portion in Jesus’ name.

 

Beloved, you and I need to bridle our tongues to stay out of trouble (Proverbs 21:23). Because, many destinies have been destroyed due to words spoken or decreed into their lives (Psalms 34:13). Are you a parent? Watch what you say in times of provocation (Proverbs 17:28). You want to pray. But, are you Born Again?

 

PRAYER

 

Heavenly Father, please set a guard over my tongue so I may not trigger my own destruction (Psalms 141:3).

MAKE A CHOICE: GOD OR MAN?

 

Bible Text: Psalms 20:7

 

We live in a world where people often suffer heart-breaks than expected. Many are victims of broken promises from the government, trusted allies, between parent and child, and even between couples. Then you begin to wonder. As a matter of fact, I for one may have failed others and also been knocked down. Why? Because we are humans. Therefore, irrespective of how rich your dad or anointed your pastor is, they can fail you, reason being that man is limited. Only God will never forsake or disappoint you (Isaiah 49:15).

 

The chariots and horses in today’s reading are likened to exotic cars, fame and mansions of nowadays. But, if I may ask: “in what and who do you put your hope? In God or mere man? After all, Psalms 121 says, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills.. meaning that, we should only look up to God at all times. Besides, isn’t it ridiculous trusting a mortal soul created by God and neglecting the maker Himself? Hmm.. (Psalms 60:11).

 

However, “never despise the help of man because God will always use man but, don’t trust in man. Man may die! You want to pray, but are you Born Again?

 

PRAYER

 

1. Heavenly Father, help me to trust in You wholeheartedly.

 

2. Daddy, please pour Your fresh oil on me and never allow me go dry again.

 

3. Ask for all your heart desires. It shall be granted thee.

A NEW NAME!

A NEW NAME!

 

Bible Text: John 9:1-11 (8)

 

A new name refers to a fresh label used in identifying a person or object. When a man or a brand is produced, it gets a new identity. However, because we serve the God of new things (Isaiah 43:19), He can decide to change an existing unfavourable name and circumstances to a new one. For example, Jabez was given a contrary identity to his originality, but after he cried to God, he retrieved his destiny (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). Likewise, in Genesis 32:22-32, Jacob got a change of name to Israel.

 

Beloved, we may need a new epithet because in life, people mostly identify us by our peculiar problems rather than our names. No wonder, the blind man in today’s reading wasn’t recognised again after he was healed. I pray! That evil logo they have labelled you with, shall change today, in Jesus’ name. Therefore, maybe you have been tagged as the barren one, the sinner, sick, poor, single or the jobless fellow. Today! God is set to change your story and give you first class names.

 

But, do you believe He can do the impossible? (Mark 9:23) If yes! Then, you will cry to Him. However, you need to be born again so that your prayers won’t go into voicemail (Lamentations 3:44).

 

PRAYER

 

1. Oh God arise! Do the impossible in my life and let my story change.

 

2. Heavenly Father, just as You did to the blind man today. Please, make my story a global topic to Your glory.

 

3. Lord, give me a new name, a new song, a new anointing, a new job, a new accommodation and new levels.. (Mention).

Title: I SHALL NOT DIE!

Psalms 118:17
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

PRAYERS

1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your love, grace and mercies that has kept me thus far.

2. Dear Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness on all my sins and trespasses, in Jesus’ name.

3. Every force of hell, dragging me to the grave, spiritually and physically. I’m not your candidate. Release me, in the name of Jesus.

4. Evil conspiracy in high places (work, family and environs), organised to destroy me. Kill yourselves, in Jesus’ name!

5. Any power, planning my downfall and death. Die a mysterious death this month in the name of Jesus.

6. You the secret grave dug for me. Swallow your diggers, in Jesus’ name.

7. I shall not be a victim of tragedy and accidents. This year shall not see my end rather, I shall see its’ end, in Jesus’ name.

8. Judgement of sickness and death, passed over my existence. Mercy of God! Overturn it, in Jesus’ name.

9. Angels of sorrow and grieve, assigned against my family and the church. Be paralysed, in Jesus’ name.

10. The journey of death planned for my household, be cancelled by the blood of Jesus.

You are anointed to live and revived from every physical and spiritual death. No more strange diseases and attacks. Hence, glory after death shall never be your portion, in Jesus’ name.

Therefore, be at your local church to celebrate your victory. Major miracles awaits you!

(VISA GRANTED, BARRIER DESTROYED)

After several attempts of visa application, I was finally granted one when I least expected. Subsequently, on my exit at the airport, I was stopped from travelling because I had a little swollen feet which they suspected might be a symptom of kidney problem. Therefore, they carried out 6 different tests, and lo and behold, they were all perfect. So, I was cleared. Praise the Lord!

I really want to thank God for loving me this much. Yesterday, I was supposed to move along with my things to my new house but I didn’t have even a penny. Not long after, a sister called to remind me of a fasting and prayer program slated for 6 am to 3 pm. After breaking the fast, I got a cash gift of $100 from my Mum which I never thought of. Our God is awesome!

Bible Text: Luke 5:1-11

 

There was this strong farmer who got a mouth-watering cocoa plucking contract. This farmer got a new cutlass to work and was so motivated that on the first day he culled over 5,000 cocoas which was double the average target. The management were so impressed that they gave him a bonus. Hence, he was so spirited and worked harder the next day, but he only brought 3,000. The third day, he worked even more and all he could extract were 1,000. Subsequently, the figures dropped daily.

 

“I don’t seem to understand the issue. I think I’m losing strength”, said the farmer who also apologised. But, the director asked, “When last did you sharpen your cutlass? “Sharpen? I had no time for that. I have just been too busy trying to meet targets…” said the farmer. Beloved, have you thought lately about improving your skills for more productivity at work, colleges or business? (2 Timothy 1:6; 2:15). When was the last time you spent quality moments with your creator and family? (Genesis 2:24) Oh! You were busy on less valuables!

 

Dear Pastor, when last did you go on personal spiritual retreat? (Jeremiah 31:25). And even as a church, we need to hone our evangelistic tactics. Because, most of the time we focus on our physical abilities such as Peter being a veteran fisherman couldn’t catch a single fish until he went spiritual. This weekend, you want to pray for profitable upgrade in every area of life, because God has deposited in everyman all he needs to succeed. However, are you born again?

 

PRAYER

 

1. Father, I don’t want to be a basket used in fetching water. Please, help me identify my weakness.

 

2. Please, give me the means to upgrade myself spiritually, mentally and career wise.

 

3. Lord, make me fruitful and profitable in destiny.

BOW YOUR WAY UP!

Bible Text: Genesis 39

 

Just wondering, why you have to bow to start a 100m race and stand to begin a 1500m. In our physical lives it translates that, “if you want a swift journey to the peak, you have to submit to those up there. But, you can only afford to be intractable if you are ready for a long trip to the top”. Reading the account of Joseph, you will discover that he had respect for his callous brothers. And even when he was sold into slavery, he was thriving and had the fear of God and his master at heart so much that he turned down the sultry advances of Mrs. Potiphar.

 

Yesterday, we looked at King Solomon who God endowed with immense wisdom, and if you study further, you will notice that he reverenced God and gave a bounty as offering (2 Chronicles 1:1-12). Even his father, David, honoured Saul and never tried to kill him (1 Samuel 24:4-7). Because, “the anointing you respect is what you can only receive from”. No wonder, Elisah got the double portion of Elijah’s anointing (2 Kings 2). Why? Because, he was patient and served diligently.

 

Beloved, are you ready to serve your way to the top? In that office, do you respect your boss irrespective of the age gap? Oh! Do you honour your spouse and the pastor in church? What about the government in power, do you obey their rules and regulations? (Romans 13:1-7). Because, “to rule, you have to work-it up”. This morning, you want to pray for the grace to be useful and profitable so you don’t lose your inheritance at the top (Matthew 25:1-30). However, are you born again?

 

PRAYER

 

1. Heavenly Father, help me to be submissive and profitable in every good works.

 

2. Any power, making me to be rebellious to see my potential helpers as enemies, die!

 

3. Please, pray for me and people in authority.

DO YOU LACK WISDOM?

Bible Reading: 1 Kings 3:1-28

 

Wisdom is the perfect use of knowledge as to how one inserts it to fit into a situation. God is the giver of wisdom such as He endowed King Solomon to become the wisest man ever. For example, two prostitutes gave birth but a baby died, and the mother tried to claim the only one alive. Hence, Solomon judged with great acuity when he said, “I will cut the baby into two”. And then, the real mother cried, preferring to leave the baby while the other said, yes with joy. Beloved, when you are sagacious, you rule your world and attract good success and affluence. How do I know?

 

In 1 Kings 10, the queen of Sheba acknowledged Solomon’s wisdom and gave him 120 talents of gold and precious stones. Also, the navy of Hiram brought gold from Ophir. I pray! The insight you need, to rise to the top, God shall give it to you, in Jesus’ name. Why? Because, Jesus is the professor of the school of wisdom. In Matthew 22:15-22, when He was asked about paying taxes. He asked whose image was on the money, and they said Caesar. Then, He said, “Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God”. They all marvelled!

 

Therefore, do you need such wisdom? If yes! Why not ask? (James 1:5). Because, we all need it in every aspect of life, family, gospel and career such as Mark Zuckerberg, 32, created Facebook now worth $54.5 Billion amongst other things. And so, you want to ask as Solomon did, for which he got added riches. However, your first test of wisdom is if you are born again (Proverbs 24:9). Be wise! Accept Christ Today.

 

PRAYER

 

1. Meditate and customise Isaiah 11:1-5.

 

2. Father, reveal to me the secrets of my generation.

 

3. Thou wisdom of God! Baptise me with new visions, discernment and creative ideas and business innovations.
