A PACK OF SARDINE

Reading from the pages of the newspaper was a pathetic story of this young couple. On a night, the man was drunk and returned late while the wife prepared noodles for dinner. And immediately the man sighted the food on fire, he quickly ordered that sardines should be added. But, the reluctant woman refused due to the fact that it was dark and unsafe. Before she could realise what was happening, the man had pounced on her and gave her the beating of a lifetime. Consequently, in an attempt to defend herself, she consciously or unconsciously stabbed her husband on the ribs and that did it.

There were also these couple who dearly loved one another that people prayed for such a home. But, the wife being a local nurse got posted to a rural town thousands of miles away. In a short while, the man’s friends who were envious of his family fed him with false rumours resulting into leeriness. Hence, he engaged in extra marital affairs which got him infected with H.I.V (Romans 6:23), and the sad part is that, he got his innocent wife infected. So harrowing! But remember, we are in the end time when many hopes are betrayed. As a matter of fact, many homes are on the verge of collapse due to lack of trust (Matthew 24:10, 12).

The devil? A wicked cunning man who by just a perishable sardine snatched the man’s soul (John 10:10). Are you the angry husband or a nagging wife? (Proverbs 21:19). Watch it! Lest you fall prey to foolishness (2 Corinthians 2:11). Have you been beating or being battered by your spouse? If yes! Forgive and submit to one another in honour to God. Oh! But, I am not married. What about disobedience to parents? Beloved, you and I will examine ourselves and return to God, the author of true love (John 3:16). Let Him cleanse and refill your heart to love again (2 Corinthians 5:17). Why? Because without this, “Just a toothpick can break a home!

1. Every spirit of immorality, anger, hatred, malice, envy and marital-threatening issues in my home, cease now!

“If you love him, you will respect and be considerate. Sir! Periodic distances shouldn’t be a barrier in a Godly family because where there is genuine love, trust will be imminent.”
