THE LONG TINY BRIDGE!

Isaiah 43:2
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

A man had constructed a tiny long bridge with ropes across a wide-deep ocean. At the opening, he drove a wheelbarrow several times across its length and breadth which were cheered loudly by the stunned spectators with sweet words such as wow! Great works, incredible, creative… After a while he announced, “Who will like to get on this barrow for a memorable ride of a lifetime?” Then, suddenly, the cheering had ceased and a great silence engulfed the entire crowd.

But a moment ago, everyone applauded him with beautiful encouraging words but they never trusted in him or neither do they believe that the barrow could take them through safely. That’s exactly how we are! Many as children of God know the impact of Christ, who is our Hope of Glory (Colossians 1:27). As a matter of fact, we praise His works and preach Him but when faced with challenges we tend to give up easily hence, failing to depend on His might just as Peter began to sink immediately he got distracted by the magnitude of the wind (Matthew 14:22-33). Hmmm!

Friend! On that tiny long bridge of yours, can I invite you into a new realm with God? Yes! Amidst those current depressing issues; can you still trust Jesus to be that buggy to take you through to your desired destination has promised in today’s reading? Oh! Maybe you have already been waiting and hoping on Him, glory be to God and keep it up! You’ll soon shout Hallelujah. However, you still want to cry out afresh to God to bring Him into rememberance of His promises concerning you. But, are you Born Again?

1. Thank God for a new season of the manifestation of His glory in your life.

2. Daddy, just as you promised today. Please, do tangible miracles in my life, family, career, health, finances and situation… (Mention).

3. Confession: Henceforth, I refuse to put my trust in man, money, fame or even my four-legged chair when i sit. Rather, I will trust and hope in You Lord till eternity, come what may, because I know that with you my current travails are stepping stones to my season of testimonies. So help me God!
