THE PARIS TERROR: PRAY FOR US!

Luke 22:31-32 (32)
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Prayer is a wireless means of inter-communication with God. It’s a channel by which we influence the physical from the spiritual (Romans 8:26-27). Many at times do we forget that our nations, families, colleagues, pastors and leaders are humans; that no matter how superb, anointed or stable their economy might seem to be as a nation, they also need our prayers. Why? Because, if Jesus could pray for Simon, how much more we others (Ephesians 6:18)? Therefore, today we look at the “Value of praying for others and our nations”.

In today’s reading, the devil had wished to drain Simon, but thank God he was prayed for. Prayers can save! Just as a Pastor held a crusade in a typical African village. During one of the days; he failed to arrive on time as against the usual. So, a group of 21 people began a prayer section. Meanwhile, on the other hand, some anti-Christ extremist who were not happy with the ongoing revival had laid ambush for the pastor, but couldn’t get near him because one of them who later confessed said, they saw 21 angels surrounding and guarding him with swords of fire. Hmm! The power of Intercessory Prayers (James 5:16)

The November 13 terror attacks in Paris is a wakeup call to all. As a matter of fact, I received a distress message about the latest invasion of a town near Syria where they have started beheading Christians and children. Eh! We need to pray for them just as prayers were made for Peter’s rescue from Herod (Acts 12:1-14). Over the weekend, world’s most powerful nations met on the way forward, still, no concrete advances. Do you take time to pray for your leaders? If no! Why then do we complain? Because! They are not robots; let us pray for wisdom for them (Colossians 1:9 and 1 Timothy 2:1-2) in love (1 Thessalonians 1:1-10) by which we also reap in due season (Galatians 6:7).

“Friend! Just as Paul said, pray for us! (1 Thessalonians 5:25), the nations of France, Syria and Nigeria are in need of our urgent prayers. Why? Because, it raises a standard against the enemy (Isaiah 59:19).”

1. Thank God for your nation, families, pastors and people in authority.

2. Daddy, just as you saved Peter, please rescue me, families, churches and friends in Syria, Iraq, Nigeria and France (Mention) from every secret and open attack.

3. Father! Arise and crush every enemy of your church and nation (Psalms 68:1-3)
