WATCH IT: THE DAYS ARE EVIL!

Matthew 13:25
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

Have you just won a jackpot, a house, a car, bought a new shoe or you are hale and hearty today? Glory be to God. Oh! Maybe it’s your birthday, promotion or graduation party. Congratulations! But, as it is good to celebrate, we also need to be at alert (1 Peter 5:8); for the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). As the world mourns the Paris attacks, the Holy Spirit equally wants us to learn a few things. Today’s reading tells us, “It’s during our time of slumber that the enemy strikes”.

Do you know that it was that unexpected moment on November 13, 2015 at about 21:35, when the French national football team played Germany at the Stade de France and simultaneously at a concert where people have danced away, that these men of terror struck (Jeremiah 17:9)? Umm… “Guard your loopholes; for while we let loose, the devil strategises.” Don’t be ignorant! (2 Corinthians 2:11, Ephesians 6:11)

Friend! As the year rolls to its end, we need to be vigilant and prayerful (Luke 21:36); so we don’t be as Mr. Gregg who got rich after praying for years and all he could first acquire was a power bike to swagger. One night, he got drunk and sped into a coming truck (Luke 12:13-21). What are you celebrating? You’d better watch out! The enemy neither sleeps nor doze (Isaiah 54:15) till they spoil your joys (John 10:10); refuse to give up or get carried away, for you might never know the time they will strike (Mark 13:33).

“As the coming of Christ draws near; be ye ready lest you be caught unawares. Be sensitive! (Matthew 24:42-44)

PRAYER

1. Lord, thank you for your protection over me, families and friends even as you pray for the victims of these attacks.

2. Father! In the remainder of 2015, don’t let my names be found in the lists of the victims of circumstance. Safeguard me!

3. You satanic snake assigned to swallow up my life, glory, benefits and breakthroughs, die today!

4. Every plan of the enemy to waylay me at the strategic junction of my life, crash and die in Jesus name!

5. I decree! I shall sing my song, dance my dance and end this year fulfilled.

GOD SHALL RAISE YOU TO STARDOM. DON’T LOSE HOPE!
