Matthew 5:13-16 (16)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.

In the beginning, the earth was shapeless, empty and covered in darkness until God released a decree, “Let there be light, and there was light (Genesis 1:1-5). Therefore, Light is a natural agent that enhances sights and visibility. In life, everyman desire to flourish and be a guiding light in the dark for others to follow just as Jesus said in John 8:12, “If you abide in me, you’ll never walk in darkness but, rather be a shining light”. However, as we approach a new year, the question is: Are you a genuine light of Christ?

We as Christians are the light of the world because we are the salt of the earth according to verse 13 of today’s reading, or how can you fly an airplane without a pilot? (verse 14). Meaning: “In 2016, you should be a global channel for Christ and, if your light can so shine, then the world will be willing to follow you”. Oh! You think the presumed unbelievers need to get to Church before they are moved to repentance? They are watching us! (1 Peter 2:12)

Dear friend! Thank God you and I are born again, but can the world genuinely see Christ through us? (Colossians 1:25-29). People have nicknamed you, “The Mother of Jesus” but, when you speak about Christ, they are unwilling. Check! What are your works? Is your light burning? (Luke 12:35) Oh! God has blessed me with riches and ideas, but what impact have I on others to lead them to the truth, or how can they see the Light in you? (Luke 3:10-11). Therefore! In 2016, let God’s glory be seen on you; “Use what you have to spread His works and as you do so, the world shall come to your rising.

“To be Holy doesn’t mean to be poor, for our Father is a wealthy God (Haggai 2:8).

Father! As i start a new year, i promise to spread your gospel and testimonies to the world. Therefore, empower, strengthen, inspire and bless me for the world to see and come to your Light through me.

THE 11TH HOUR MIRACLE!

2 Kings 13:21
And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

The 11th Hour is something happening at an unexpectedly time when all seem to have ended as 11 is the last hour on a clock cycle. In this context, it refers to a last minute surprise. Perhaps that was the case of Bartimeaus who was blind for years but at the last opportunity when Jesus passed by towards being crucified, he got his sight back (Mark 10:46-52). Note: He never kept shut even when people tried to stop him. As you too will cry out today, every pending door to your breakthrough shall open up in Jesus’ Name.

God is an expert in doing amazing things irrespective of seasons and circumstances (Psalms 115:3). Little wonder, the man that was been buried in today’s reading still jumped back to life after his lifeless body touched the decaying bones of Elisha. What a last minute intervention it was, just as the adulterous woman was rescued by Jesus from death by stoning in John 8:1-11. Likewise Peter, who could have been killed by Herod as he did to James, if not for the intercession of the church (Acts 12:1-11).

I once told a story of when my wife and I paid for an urgent service but were told to wait for 3 weeks. But, we needed it desperately, so we went to God in prayers and at quarter to shame, we got a text confirming its readiness. The 11th Hour Miracle! There might still be someone today who needs an emergency breakthrough to complement an already challenging year. I have great news for you, if you’ll cry out as Paul and Silas did, that they were rescued from execution (Acts 16:16-40), then God shall grant you a final-day miracle that will swallow the pains and failures of 2015.

PRAYER

1. Lord! Intervene in my matter today (mention). Please, send a 24-Hour Help to me, so i can finish 2015 in unspeakable joys.

2. Father! Let me receive a miracle phone call/text that will change my entire story in this last 38 hours of 2015.

3. Daddy! Let all those that laugh at me, bow and celebrate with me in 2016.

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

In the beginning, God made the heavens and the earth; He said let there be light and instantly, it came on, and that later separated the day from night (Genesis 1:1-5). But, of more significance was when He said, “Let us make man in our own image” (vs. 26-27). Isn’t that amazing? To know that we are of God’s image. Ooh! Maybe you seem not to realise that we are exactly like our Father in heaven (Psalms 82:6, John 10:34 and Romans 8:17). So honoured to be a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9)

How many times have you looked down on yourself or situation, and say; why am I usually the unfortunate one? Dear Sister, just because they don’t mingle with you, you’ve made the mirror your best companion to always ask, why am I so unattractive, why am I too short (Luke 12:25) or why should I be faced with diverse challenges? Hmm… Be patient (Psalms 37:7A), for God is announcing to you today: Dear Child, as we enter into 2016 and beyond, “YOU ARE ALWAYS MY TOP PRIORITY”; and I will never rest until you have fulfilled your destiny!

Therefore! What are you actually worried about? What to eat, drink, wear or what 2016 holds? (Matthew 6:25-34). Oh! The world may even have forsook you, but never will your creator (God) abandon you as read today (Deuteronomy 31:6 and Isaiah 41:10-13). Friend! As we coast into a new year; always keep in mind that as far as you are in Christ, “You are Not Alone! Because, God knew you even before conception (Jeremiah 1:5) and since He honours His words more than His name (Psalms 138:2), of which He has spoken that, “He will never forsake you” (Isaiah 49:15). Therefore, you will hold Him by His words this 29th day of December to bring Him to remembrance of you (Psalms 138:8). However, are you genuinely Born Again? (Isaiah 59:1-2)

God: What do you think I should do? Finally… the moment he’d been praying for.

“As we wrap up the year, never look down on yourself anymore, for when you do, you belittle God.”

PRAYER

1. Thank God for the life in you and for all the blessings received thus far.

2. Father! Henceforth and in 2016, let it be evident in all areas that I’m your Number One Priority!

3. Tell God those areas you need His intervention before December 31st since you are His top priority.

Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

In a world where nothing comes easy; to succeed, breakthrough, marry, conceive, staying healthy, maintaining spiritual fitness and untouchable from the kingdom of darkness; you need to take what you want by authority and aggression or else, you perish on the battle field of life (Matthew 11:12). Why? Because, there are forces of hell set to hinder you from prospering and reaching your goal in destiny (Daniel 10:12-13). However, there’s a Key which can dismantle every unholy gathering against your rising in 2016 (Isaiah 54:15) and even unlock every strong gate set before you. Prayer is the Answer!

Prayer is a wireless two-way communication with God (Philippians 4:6), which has empowered the poor above the rich, prophets above presidents and also influence the physical from the spiritual and vice versa (Matthew 16:19). Life is indeed spiritual! There are certain things you personally know you can’t achieve easily due to the nature of your background. For example, in some families; their women don’t get married until certain ages or none. I know of a family where no one surpassed a certain average level of success. In other homes, maybe it’s a particular sickness! Identify yours today!

“To achieve anything tangible in this gruelling world; you need to move beyond the physical.”

Today’s reading tells us that such foundational problems, marital delays, destiny captivity and demotion amongst others cannot go in 2016 except by praying and fasting. No wonder, Paul and Silas (I’m sure they must have been on a dry fast) prayed and sang praises that their chains and doors broke open suddenly (Acts 16:16-36). Eh! Do you need Divine intervention in 2016? You’ll pray like Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). Oh! You want to be married, healthy and live a fruitful year, you’d better set your prayer altar rolling! That’s why i’m inviting you to an online 3-day fasting, prayer and praise programme starting tomorrow (29th-31st, 12am-6pm or dry). However, are you Born Again? (Lamentations 3:44).

1. Father! Please, deliver me from prayerlessness and grant me the grace and power to pray my way to breakthrough today and in 2016!

3. Lord! You said in everything give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Therefore, I thank You for the good, the bad and the ugly of 2015.

4. Daddy, thank you for my past, present and for a glorious future.

5. Father! Thank you for your thoughts towards me concerning 2016 (Jeremiah 29:11), for I know my tomorrow shall be Alright.

6. Every good thing I haven’t been able to achieve since the beginning of the year. Please, Lord, release them to me in this last 5 days of 2015.

7. My life shall not end this week. I shall see 2016 and beyond.

8. In my family lineage and everywhere I go in 2016; Lord! Make me a record breaker in all good things!

9. Rejoice, dance and praise God in advance for at least 1-Hour this week for what He is set to do in 2016.

10. Now! Ask for those Hard things you still desire in the remaining 5 days and in the new year.

Two good friends, Eva and Eve fetched water daily at Obrikom river, Rivers State, Nigeria. One day, Eve asked Eva with curiosity: Why do you prefer to convey water with this particular leaking calabash? But, Eva kept mute until they got to a spot where she showed Eve a set of beautiful flowers, and with a big smile Eve said: Wow! These flowers are so colourful and blooming. Then, Eva finally replied by saying: That’s exactly why I chose this gourd. Because, the water drips out through the broken part and drops directly on these flowers every time i passed by.

How many souls have you and i touched during the course of the year? But, I have no money to spend, not to mention giving. What about your gifting and talents? Do you know that a simple word of encouragement can go a long way in making impacts in the lives of many? (Romans 12:10) Oh! Hear the great Roman philosopher, Marcus. T. Cicero who quipped that, “Not for ourselves alone are we born”. Hmm… Check! No matter your condition or disability, there are always people you can assist.”

“Rediscover your purpose of existence; God has placed you in that position to help others.”

Friend! That poor family along your street, what little help have you tried to render? Those your colleagues that bask under the shades of sin; have you made attempts to speak to them about Jesus and the importance of Christmas? Eh! If only we could learn from this Broken Gourd; to live our lives as channels by which people rise, then the love of Christ can reign in our hearts and nations. This Boxing Day and beyond! Let us make life meaningful and colourful for others even as the good samaritan whom by that kind gesture in today’s reading, entered into the good side of history.

“Wealth isn’t only measured by assets, but also by how many lives you touched and transformed.”

PRAYER

1. Daddy, please make me a channel of help and solution to my world.

2. Father! Please help my helpers so they may remember me and by so doing, I can help others.

JESUS CHRIST: THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!

John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

In the beginning, God created everything. He said, let there be Light and there was Light and when He saw that it was good, He divided it from the darkness (Genesis 1:1-5). Normally, the Light signifies the good because it completely wipes out darkness (Evil, Matthew 6:22-23) which was introduced by the Father of Sin (The devil, 1 John 3:8, John 10:10). However, the birth of Christ brought Light to the world (John 12:46) and created a direct access for us to walk in brightness and glow as children of Light (Matthew 5:13-16).

On a night! A man of God (Pastor E. A. Adeboye) went into a path to pray. All of a sudden, his lamp went off that he couldn’t revive it. So, he prayed and immediately, a shining moon appeared and lit his way until he got back home (Psalms 119:105). Eh! As we celebrate the birth of Jesus today; every dark spot in your life shall receive light in Jesus’ Name. Why? Because, “Jesus Christ is the Light of the world! But, why do I need the Light? So we might be saved far above sin and destruction (John 3:16-21) because, “He that is saved walks in Light (Revelation 21:24) and shall know the deep and secret things” (Daniel 2:22).

Now! The question is: Are you ready to embrace He who is the Light? Yes! We claim to be Christians, but do we really live the purpose for which He was crucified? Can the world see Christ in me? (The Hope of Glory, Colossians 1:27). Be wise! Think deep down, what are those dark areas of my life? Is it my health, career, marriage or maybe you still live in sin? Today is a special Christmas you will never forget; for your Light has come! You just need to surrender in totality to Him (1 Peter 5:7); let Him lighten up your life as read in today’s scriptures.

“We need to reexamine our lives; Am i still in the faith? If need be! Rededicate today to reap the full dividends of Christmas.”

PRAYER

1. Daddy! Thank You for Christmas; to save me!

2. Father! Light up every dark spot in my life and make me a glorious shining Light to my generation.

3. Lord! Make everyday a Christmas for me, friends and family. No more sin, lack and delays!

4. Father! Before the next Christmas, help me to have won thousands of souls.

5. Ask for a special Christmas present that money can never buy.

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

The year 2015 witnessed a lot of dramatic global changes; Nations and States owe, people live averagely below poverty line, top organisations and industries experienced deep economic downturn; giving rise to the rate of the unemployed. As a matter of fact, current analysis predicts an impending financial catastrophe at which top currencies may hit a new low. Then, you start to wonder about the new year (2016). But, having said these, you need not to panic if truly you are of the Father; who exceptionally possess the power and ability to supply all you would ever need (Philippians 4:19) to prosper and succeed in destiny (3 John 2).

Five loaves of bread and two fishes.

Today’s reading reveals that our God is more than enough in all things to grant all our heart desires including spiritual and physical breakthroughs regardless of what the atmosphere (economy) may look like (Proverbs 10:22). Because all riches are His (Haggai 2:8). After all, He once brought money from a fish’s mouth (Matthew 17:27) and fed the 5,000 with just 2 fishes and 5 loaves of bread (Mark 6:30-44). Moreover, in 2 Kings 4:1-7 was a story of an indebted widow who had a last pot of oil. But, Elisha told her to borrow extra containers and fill them up to the brim, which she did. Afterwards, she sold them, cleared all her debts and became very rich (From a debtor to an oil merchant). That shall be your story too in Jesus’ Name!

What have you passed through in this old year that is making you to contemplate about 2016? Have you been financially indebted, spiritually dead or materially incapacitated? Hmm.. Relax! God can give you fresh visionary ideas that will cause you to be globally sought after. Yes! If He could reveal the strategies of Egypt’s escape from famine to a common prisoner (Joseph, Genesis 41:27-57), then in the new year, you won’t limit your capacity by judging from the now. Because God can direct your paths (Psalms 37:23) just as that professor, who went into selling ordinary groundnuts with honey, but now supplies top U.S parastatals. Eh! You want to pray for new insights and ideas to rule your world come year 2016.

“Don’t ever limit God; He is more than enough to turn your scarcity into abundance. However, do you pay your tithes? Because, you can’t rob Him and expect to be Sufficient (Malachi 3:8-12). Be Born Again!

PRAYER

1. Lord! Baptise me with spiritual gifting, great visions and business strategies that I need to be a solution to my world.

2. Father! Open my eyes to new opportunities that will prosper my life.

3. Powers behind my parent’s mistakes and failures, pursuing my life, die!

YEAR 2015: HOW HARD?

Isaiah 41:10-13 (13)
For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

How has the year been with you? Fair, good, smooth, tough or challenging? No matter how it may have been, the certainty about life is that it can never be rosy always. Because, there are times and seasons for everything under the sun (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

Different Moods!

What are those hard times and circumstances you went through during the course of the year? They are no issues to God. After all, you have not been assigned a permanent slot in the graveyard because you are still breathing, which is a pointer to the fact that, “There is hope for the future (Ecclesiastes 9:4)”. Perhaps that was the case of Joseph in Genesis 37-50. He went through the thick and thin, but eventually, he fulfilled his dreams. I pray for that fellow whom it seems as if what he is faced with now is overwhelming; God shall turn your persistent trials into seasons of triumphant joys in Jesus’ Name!

In the book of Job 1-42, Job went through hell on earth. He lost everything so much that his wife told him to curse God and die (Job 2:9-10). But, at the end, God restored him in multiples. Eh! In this remaining 8 days of 2015, all what you thought wouldn’t still be achieved shall come to reality in your life in Jesus’ Name. Therefore, I may not know all what you went through in 2015 but I know you have gone through a lot and toiled all night like Peter (Luke 5:2-7). Oh! Maybe you’re faced with the hardest times such as delays, sicknesses and disappointment that you’ve started to contemplate about 2016.

‘I can’t afford to stop working.’

Relax! Because, no matter how hard it looks like; the Great Helper is here (Hebrews 13:8) as read today, He’s saying: I want to help you out of the messes of 2015. I’ll give you a glorious new year, if you’ll cry to me (John 14:13-14). But, are you Born Again?

PRAYER

1. Thank God for this last full week of the year, 2016 and for a season of Divine turn around.

2. All the good things I haven’t been able to achieve since the beginning of the year. Please, Lord, release them to me in this last 8 days of 2015.

3. Daddy! Please turn these issues of my life (Mention) to testimonies to your glory. I promise to Testify!

4. Father! I’m yours, please rescue me from all forms of lack and obscurity!

5. Begin to ask for those Hard things you desire before December 31st. It’s still a Possibility! PRAY!!!

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

It was on a Wednesday, 25th of May, 2005 that AC Milan of Italy led Liverpool Football Club of England by 3-0 at half time at the Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. All hopes were already lost by the Reds fans so much that they had started to leave the stadium. But, power changed hands in the 2nd Half when Liverpool scored on the 54′, 56th and finally equalised on the 60th minute (They bounced back scoring 3 goals in 6 minutes), and guess what? Liverpool eventually won the Champions trophy that night on penalties. What an Historic Day it was!

Why am i saying this? Because, it doesn’t matter how woeful or challenging your 2015 must have been; you can still finish tops. Yes! Because, “Though your January 1 to December 21st may have been so rough but in the remaining 10 days, you can still recover in multiple folds (Job 8:7). How do I know? Reason being that Brother Joseph, Job, Jabez and even, our Lord Jesus Christ went through the cross (Trials), but they all finished excellently well (John 16:33).

Therefore! Dear friend, maybe you still have major expectations for this old year and you feel it’s already too late. Oh! But, I still need a job. Yes! I don’t even have a dime to feed at Christmas or how do i face the coming year 2016? You relax! He who says “Better is the end of a thing” as read in today’s reading, is faithful to the end. He’s saying today: Dear Child! Don’t give up yet; the year so far was history. I, The “I AM THAT I AM” (Exodus 3:14) can still give you a lifetime End-of-the-Year miracle that will shock you even as Liverpool did to AC Milan, if you’ll Pray Hard!

“But, are you Born Again? Because, a life without Christ is full of endless struggles and failure.”

PRAYER

1. Thank the Lord for the year so far (January 1, 2015 till date)

2. Daddy! In the remaining 10 days of 2015. Please, embarrass me and family with pleasant surprises. We shall Testify!

3. Impending death and tragedy; I nullify you by the blood of Jesus. Be converted to good health and prosperity.

4. This week! All the good things I’ve been praying for shall locate me!

5. Begin to ASK for your heart desires for Christmas.
