THE SPIRIT OF ACCUSATION (Part 4)
Revelation 12:9-11 (10) – And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (KJV)
Read: Colossians 2:13-15, Philippians 2:9-11
The final item on the accuser’s agenda is to prevent the kingdom of God and deny the power of Christ. From the beginning, God’s ultimate plan was to establish His kingdom, where He freely communicates with man. Genesis 3:8 confirms that God often talked and walked in the garden where man was domiciled. It was not long before the serpent deceived man and caused their separation from God. But God covered Adam and Eve’s nakedness with skin (Genesis 3:21). The killing of the animal whose skin was used symbolises Christ’s sacrifice for human redemption!
After man left the Garden of Eden, the devil continued his ministry of accusation and deception, and God replicated the intervention to sacrifice Jesus. All these are to actualise His kingdom. Therefore, Christ died to conquer the power of death and hell and become the centre of power. This is why today’s text emphasises “the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ.” In other words, there is an office of “the Christ”, which is the power and currency of operations in God’s realm and kingdom.
As a countermeasure, what Satan does presently is manipulate your thoughts to disregard the kingdom of God and the power of Christ. He makes you downplay the power that enables you to live holy and prevail over worldly affairs. Whenever you prioritise self-ability, engage in anti-Christ activities, or fail to attribute all glory to God, including doubting and unbelief in the efficacy of prayer, they are all the workings of the spirit of accusation.
Beloved, the antidote for silencing the rage of this dimension of the accusing spirit is the blood of Jesus and walking in the power of His might (Revelation 12:11). Principalities and powers are subject to these. Make use of this arsenal in Christ, and you shall walk in victory.
