MERCY! MERCY!! MERCY!!! (2)

Bible Text: Psalms 136

I have discovered in my little study that mercy always precede manifestation of miracles. Meaning that, before anything could be received, we must first attract God’s compassion to move Him. For example, in Luke 17:11-19, the lepers’ first statement was, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” Also, in a similar but reversed manner, when Jesus spotted that man at the pool of Bethesda, he knew he had been in that condition for numerous years (vs. 6), hence he was moved by sympathy (John 5:1-15).

Beloved, you and I need that mercy, because it is the prerequisite for receiving anything from God through grace (Hebrews 4:16), whether deserving or undeserving. Oh! Divine mercy is a situation at which one was fully guilty but was pardoned, discharged and acquitted such as our transformation from the Adamic nature (sin) to life in Christ (Romans 6:6-14). Therefore, maybe you were once or still a murderer, cultist, or practising fornication or adultery (If you’ll repent, mercy can do it – Ephesians 2:8-9), or peradventure, you have prayed and all to no avail. Relax! This weekend, you’ll cry out for mercy yet again!

PRAYER

1. Heavenly Father, I repent today. Please have mercy on me and cleanse all my sins.

2. Lord Jesus, in this present state of my life, career, health or marriage (mention). Please, let my condition move You to action.

BEHOLD! A NEW YOU. CONGRATULATIONS!
