YOUR CROSS: TOO SMALL FOR GOD TO HANDLE!

Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

In life, at intervals man will always have challenges and hurdles to climb; which makes us human because, the sizes of our challenges depends on how we view them. But irrespective of situations around you, I have come to announce to you that your problems are too small for God to handle, and that issue shall result into testimonies in Jesus name. One day, a man complained bitterly to God that his cross (difficulties and burdens) was too heavy to carry.

God being a merciful Father said to him, go into that room and pick a smaller cross. After searching for hours, he saw huge and heavier crosses, almost getting tired he suddenly saw a very little cross leaning at the corner, so happy that he quickly picked and told God, I have found the lightest cross, and God replied, son “that was the same cross you complained about”. Friend! What are you complaining about? If it were possible to view other’s problems, you’ll discover that your troubles are just too minor.

Many had wished to be alive but, they are no more. Oh! Maybe you need to know how many destinies are lying in the graves. But, you and I still have life (Ecclesiastes 9:4). What are the challenges? Are they jobs, health or marriage? No matter your present condition, it’s just for a season (Psalms 30:5-B, Romans 8:28). Remember, Job was also tested but never failed (Job 2) because, “when there’s Life, there’s Hope”. Refuse to give up now! Your cross is too small for God, If only you will hold on to Him in your trial season, then you will soon testify!

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.

An Anchor is a heavy object with a pair of curve edges attached to a chain used in tying down a ship to the sea bottom. These two-edge curves are typically hooked unto a strong platform for stability in times of crisis. As humans, life’s trials are inevitable, yes! Christ has died for us; but He never promised that all will always be rosy (John 16:33). As a matter of fact, challenges and oppositions are certainties. But, what do we do in times like these?

Job was very wealthy, but was tested by the devil with diverse trials as death and diseases, that he lost everything. But, he refused to be discouraged rather he held tight to God, “the Master Anchor” (Job 2:8-10). Likewise, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego, when thrown into fire hung their anchors to Christ; they cared less about the consequences and Christ indeed showed up (Daniel 3:1-30). Eh! As you hang on only to Jesus this new season, every of your trials shall end in praises in Jesus name.

In 1882, Priscilla Owens wrote the song “Will your Anchor hold”, which further says, “we have an anchor that keeps the soul, steadfast and sure even when everything seems upside down”. Friend! In times of crisis and life’s storms, Jesus is the only firm rock; because man can fail (Psalms 73:26). What are you faced with? Are you overwhelmed by current situations around you? Refuse to give in, rather let your anchor cling to that solid rock just as Paul and Silas did in Acts 16:16-40.

Why not sign up or rededicate and surrender all to Jesus, so that you can begin to enjoy the full benefits of His resurrection. He’s the sure Anchor who will never let you down; even at your last minute, He will show up!

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

We live in a delicate world where people suffer heartbreaks often than expected. Most people are victims of broken promises from government, between parents and child, even in between two lovers. Then, you begin to wonder.. As a matter of fact, we have one time or the other failed people and also been knocked down, why? Because we are human.

The chariots and horses in today’s reading are likened to our modern-day exotic cars and mansions. But, what and who do you put your hope in? God, Man or Wealth? No matter how rich your dad or anointed your pastor is, except by the leading of the Holy Spirit, they can fail you (Psalms 60:11). Eh! Even that bank account can develop wings and fly away (Proverbs 23:5), only God will never change nor forsake you (Isaiah 49:15).

Friend! Come to think of it.. isn’t it ridiculous trusting man created by God and neglecting the maker Himself? Oh! Little wonder, David said: “I will lift up my eyes to the hills.. (Psalms 121:1-2). Where are the hills? Top! Meaning: “Look up to God alone, man may die! However, “never despise the help of man, because God will always use a man but, don’t trust in him”. Therefore, you wanna pray this significant first Monday of the month.

» Daddy, please forgive my total or partial negligence to you thus far. Henceforth, help me to trust in you wholeheartedly.

» Father, if you don’t help me, I’m doomed. Therefore! Please Sir, accelerate my breakthroughs this month speedily (mention).

» Pour your fresh oil on me and never allow me go dry of your favour, mercies, anointing, providence anymore.

» Ask 3 Hard things even as you tell God to do a new thing in your life that will silence all your mockers.

TAKE IT OFF!

Bible Text: Matthew 14:22-33 (29)

On a day, Pastor was travelling down from the east and suddenly he noticed that his fuel gauge had dropped to empty. Meanwhile, there was huge scarcity of fuel that no station was opened. And then, God spoke: “Son, take your eyes off the gauge”. Why? Because, He is the possessor of the universe who created all natural resources (Genesis 14:19, 22). So, He could decide to suspend the law of nature just to quickly refine the needed raw materials for our use. No wonder! He instructed birds to feed Elijah (1 Kings 17:6).

However, it takes men of “adamant faith” such as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (Daniel 3) to have heeded to God’s directives even when it seemed illogical. Beloved, if Pastor had relied on human instinct, he probably wouldn’t have got home that day. Moreover, in today’s reading, Peter lost faith and began to sink. Therefore, I may not know what your issues are but it seems you are about to lose hope. Relax! God is saying: “Take your eyes off those problems and look up to Me! I can help you (Isaiah 41:10-13), if you’ll cry out to Me (Jeremiah 33:3).

“Don’t give up! Your miracles are just at your doorsteps”.

Sometimes ago, I decided to cook some meats and suddenly, a flatmate surfaced, looking so uncomfortable that he almost vomited, I asked why? He said, “You are eating our gods”, then he quickly rushed out. Hmm.. An organisation once declared a period of mourning just because a “cat” died. In major parts of Asia, you dare not touch a cow, even dogs are almost preferred to humans in Europe. Then, you begin to wonder!

But, remember the first commandment: “Thou shall have no other gods before me”. Little wonder, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow to that golden image, despite being thrown into the burning furnace of fire. Didn’t God rescued them? They were even promoted (Daniel 3:1-30). “When you stick to God, He makes your life a wonder to your world”. However! The question is: Who is your God?

Friend! Have you placed more values on material things than your creator? After all, where your treasure is, there your heart is (Luke 12:34). What are your self made gods? Money, jewellery or certificates? Eh! It pays to serve the living God, why? Because, “He carries us, while some carry their gods” or how can something you carry be your God? Cows and images will perish, but our God is Everlasting.. (Hebrews 13:8). You wanna pray!

» Daddy! I repent and rededicate my life today. Please, forgive me of every sin of rebellion, negligence and disobedience to you (mention).

» Father! Give me the grace to witness, spread and win souls to your kingdom globally by all means.

» Pray for Asia, America, Africa, the Caribbeans, Europe and the world at large, that God will reign in our Hearts and Nations.

“It’s a call to duty for us.. We have got a big task in our hands, how? Many Nations still worship idols, graven images and animals (Mark 16:15)”.. God Bless You!

Pray without ceasing.

1. Thank God for the gift of life for you, families and friends.

2. Worship Him for His grace and mercies upon you for the past, present and future.

3. This week, I shall not be robed into any evil case I never knew about in Jesus name.

4. I shall never repeat the errors of my parents that brought poverty and problems into their lives in Jesus name.

5. Daddy, please destroy every enemy, curses, demons, known and unknown evil covenants operating in my life in Jesus name.

6. I cancel and terminate every evil/negative occurrence in my dreams, planted to afflict my life, destiny, ministry and family in Jesus name..

7. Because my God cannot fail, I shall make it in Destiny: I shall not be perverted. I shall excel in careers, businesses and marital life in Jesus name (Mention).

8. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise! This week, fight my battles and let my Glory manifest in Jesus name.

9. This week, i and my family shall not wear the clothes of shame, sadness and grieve in Jesus name.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

The current situation of things may have given rooms for questions begging for answers. For example! Why are the so-called bad ones getting married and the good aren’t? Why am I still faced with challenges, despite my commitment to God? Oh! Why are the Christians persecuted?

Friend! Joseph, despite dreams of greatness went through the prisons (Genesis 37-43). Job was afflicted and lost everything (Job 1-3), or why did Sarah had to wait so long? (Genesis 21:1-8). Yes! I’m sure, Jabez must have asked, “Why me?” (1Chronicles 4:9-10). Oh! Peter may also have asked why he couldn’t have caught just a single fish (Luke 5:2-11). But, they all laughed last!

Therefore, i may not know the reasons for your own WHY! It might be your marriage, jobs or health? But, God is saying: “Relax! Don’t compare your present situation with the Glory ahead”, i’m working it out (Romans 8:28) and your delays are just for my own plans to manifest (TR). Eh! Sister, refuse to question God because, “sometimes, challenges are just God’s strategic tactics to our place of Destiny”.. (Jeremiah 29:11).

So, you’ll cry out and if he did it before (Hebrews 13:8), then your WHY? (Questions) shall turn to your Testimonies (Answers). Be Born Again!

» Daddy! Just as you stood by Joseph and surprised Sarah and others. Please, surprise me too this weekend & make me laugh last.

» I decree! Henceforth, I refuse to question God, because my turning point is now! My story has changed, I have moved from single to married, obscurity to limelight, shame to fame, hard life to divine wealth and healthy living (Mention).. Prophesy! (Job 22:28, Numbers 14:28)

Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.

Firstly, Imagine! Why would someone want to hunt you down? Hmm.. It’s an evil world & that’s why you have to be alert, there are forces of darkness that destroy man’s destiny.

A globally known man of God once existed, his ministry grew at a rapid pace. He had preached to nations & presidents. But, one day he was hunted down, how? A boy claimed, he sexually abused him, he was jailed & that ended his ministry. Ah! Glory Hunters? They turn fame to shame & glories to groaning. You shall not be a prey IJN.

Sir! They have brought the great down to nothing, they can get you through dreams, ungodly relationships or sex & cause you to make errors that will mar your entire destiny. Every man was created to be great, but these hunters have changed many glories to filthy rags. But, today as you pray as many are gathered against you shall crash (TR).

We live in a world where hopes and aspirations are often frustrated. In a society as ours, it is more likely that dreams and potentials are killed more often than envisaged. However, I have good news for you, God shall resurrect all your dead dreams.

Joseph’s brothers conspired against him, they said: “let’s kill him & see how his dreams will come to pass (Gen 37:19-22). But, didn’t they eventually bow to him? (Gen 42:6). Oh! Jabez was also termed a failure & no one expected anything good from his life. But, he never gave up, he prayed & God changed his story (1 Chr. 4:9-10). Today! Your story is changing too IJN.

Popular African comedian, Basket-mouth bought the 1st “Opel Insignia” in Africa, worth £42,000 & then, I flashed back to history when he normally hustled just to hang in buses from Benin to Lagos, Nigeria because he had no dine! Hmm.. I also once worked in a place where I thought my potentials were being wasted, but I later realised that God was actually building me for the future. Don’t Quit!

Sir! Where are you working & you feel you’re being underrated. Relax! God is preparing you for the next stage. “A Gold, before becoming pure, passes through fire”. Your Glory will shine through! But, Don’t Just Give Up! What you’re passing through now is just for a season (Ps. 30:5B), therefore never ever look down at yourself! Rather, you’ll begin to tell God about those dreams (TR), because you’ll have testimonies to share.

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

“It’s not over till it’s over”, this saying is generally credited to the Hall of Fame baseball player & manager Yogi Berra, born on May 12, 1925. His point being that even if “unlikely”, due to the odds (score), until the game is complete, anything could happen and be a rallying point. Hmm..

There might be someone who is fed up with life & everything around him. You have checked! It’s November already & it seems, all your hopes & aspirations for the year hasn’t been met. Relax! You don’t worry, God is working it out for you. Refuse to give in, it’s not over yet, because this year, you shall still finish well & testify IJN.

Joseph, went through the pit, sold into slavery & was imprisoned (Gen 37-41). Hehe! His brothers would’ve thought, it was over. But! They never knew, they were working towards God’s fulfilment plan for him. Sir! No matter the delays, afflictions or persecution so far this year, don’t be weighed down, God has a master plan for your remaining 48 days of 2014.

Friend! “It’s never over until the final whistle” (TR). Never ever limit or dismiss yourself, after all Abraham against all odds still gave birth at 100 (Gen 21:1-7). There’s a God of “Never Too Late”. Oh! Hear, Marcus T. Cicero who says: “where there’s life there’s hope”. You wanna pray now (Num 14:28)! But, are you Born Again?
