1 Thessalonians 5:1-28 (18)
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

A rich man went to the village with his son to show him how poor people can be. They spent time on a poor family’s farm, then he asked: “Did you see how poor they are? What did you learn?” The boy said: We have a dog, they have four. We have a pool, they have rivers. We have lanterns, they have stars. We buy foods, they grow theirs. We have walls, they have friends. We have encyclopedias, they have the Bible. Then, he concluded by saying, “thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are”. Hmm..

Friend! It’s not all about the money that makes riches, “it’s about having the grace of God in our lives, even to witness another year”. Oh! You think its about your skills and beauty that you are alive? Therefore, this few hours of 2015, you and I will count our blessings and give quality thanks to God who has kept us from all evils and disasters. Many had wished to see this year, but they couldn’t. Don’t be an ingrate, rather be like “the thankful leper” who was fully made whole just because he returned to give thanks (Luke 17:11-19). You wanna praise God this moment.

PRAYER

Give Him (God) quality thanks and praises today. I can assure you, all your blessings for the year shall begin to unfold.

We live in a world where hopes and aspirations are often frustrated. In a society as ours, it is more likely that dreams and potentials are killed more often than envisaged. However, I have good news for you, God shall resurrect all your dead dreams.

Joseph’s brothers conspired against him, they said: “let’s kill him & see how his dreams will come to pass (Gen 37:19-22). But, didn’t they eventually bow to him? (Gen 42:6). Oh! Jabez was also termed a failure & no one expected anything good from his life. But, he never gave up, he prayed & God changed his story (1 Chr. 4:9-10). Today! Your story is changing too IJN.

Popular African comedian, Basket-mouth bought the 1st “Opel Insignia” in Africa, worth £42,000 & then, I flashed back to history when he normally hustled just to hang in buses from Benin to Lagos, Nigeria because he had no dine! Hmm.. I also once worked in a place where I thought my potentials were being wasted, but I later realised that God was actually building me for the future. Don’t Quit!

Sir! Where are you working & you feel you’re being underrated. Relax! God is preparing you for the next stage. “A Gold, before becoming pure, passes through fire”. Your Glory will shine through! But, Don’t Just Give Up! What you’re passing through now is just for a season (Ps. 30:5B), therefore never ever look down at yourself! Rather, you’ll begin to tell God about those dreams (TR), because you’ll have testimonies to share.
