THE GOOD OF MY FATHER!
Genesis 28:13-15 (13)
At the top of the stairway stood the LORD, and he said, “I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants.
God is a great rewarder and also a punisher of iniquities, which explains why we still suffer the consequences of atrocities committed by our ancestors (Numbers 14:18). Nevertheless, I have good news for you, that God is about to remember the good of thy father’s house, for your sake. I thought I would hear a resounding “Amen”. Yes! Because when God takes into account the good labours of our parents and forefathers, history will be made. How do I know? For example, the top global nations are not holier or more anointed than us. But, due to the evangelistic work of their forefathers which liberated Africa and other parts, God is paying them back. So, don’t envy them!
Furthermore, in 2 Samuel 9, a man called Mephibosheth who had totally forgotten about happiness in life suddenly got remembered. Why? Because of the deeds of his father, Jonathan. Eh! There is someone reading this text today, you have been written off by family and friends, but as a reason of your past and parent’s generosity, this month, God shall change your story to glory, in Jesus’ name. To conclusion, anyone who’s genuinely in Christ should be a partaker of the dividend of the Abrahamic covenant as enjoyed by Jacob and generations after. Therefore, if you are not yet born again, you are missing out. Accept Christ Today!
PRAYER
1. Father, please forgive every single sin in me and that of my ancestors, and remember me for good.
2. Father, remember just one good of my father’s house and favour my land.
3. Pray for your children and loved ones.
SOW A GOOD SEED FOR YOUR OFFSPRING… IT SHALL GERMINATE!
