Remember, the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times. It must never go out.
The initial authority we received as new babes in Christ may never be enough to sustain us through the journey of life because to whom much is given, much is expected (Luke 12:48b). Hmm… listen to Late Pa. Mandela who once said, “After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.” Meaning that: as we grow in spirit and the physical, we need an up-to-date power to conquer (Ephesians 6:10-18). No wonder, the men of old such as Moses, Elijah and Daniel amongst others, constantly communed with God for directions and never relied on their own experience or ability (Proverbs 3:5-6). Therefore, in a world where things seem to have gone out of hand; we need creative and transformational ideas powered by the Holy Spirit (John 16:13).
Beloved, to achieve anything tangible in this present times, we need anointing for empowerment. Simply because “For every new level we attain, there will always be a new devil” (Isaiah 54:15). Oh! I mean, for you to stand out amongst your equals, you need to invest more in your business or professional pursuit. Pastor! In order to steer the sheep to the promised land; you need a constant fresh fire, as read in today’s Scripture. Dear students, we all need the newest approach to research and learning for an outstanding result (2 Timothy 2:15). Finally, are you an aspiring sports champion? Always watch out for the ‘Justin Gatlin’ with the latest techniques who may spoil your ‘Usain Bolt party’ (1 Corinthians 9:24). You want to pray. But, are you born again?
PRAYER
1. Father, endow me with a renewed vision and power so I can meet up with the requirements of the present-day.
ACKNOWLEDGE THE HOLY SPIRIT: YOU WON’T LACK OIL!
