Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
The world is a fragile place where people suffer heartbreaks too often than envisaged. Most people are casualties of broken promises from trusted loved ones, such as exist between the parent and child, among lovers, couples as well as unfulfilled assurances from the government. Then, you start to wonder… As a matter of fact, checking through our life’s history, we’ll discover that at one time or the other, we have once disappointed others and also been knocked down, mainly because we are humans (Psalms 146:3).
In today’s reading, the chariots and horses are likened to our modern-day exotic cars and mansions. However, what and who do you put your hope in? Is it in God, Man or in things of the world? Because, no matter how rich your Dad is or how anointed your Pastor is, except by the leading of the Holy Spirit, they can fail (Psalms 60:11). Eh! Even that bank account can develop wings and fly away (Proverbs 23:5); only God never changes nor forsake you (Isaiah 49:15).
But, come to think of it… Is it not absurd trusting in man created by God and neglecting the maker Himself? Little wonder, David said in Psalms 121:1-2, “I will lift up my eyes to the hills… and where are the hills? Top! Therefore, always “Look up to God alone for Help, because man will perish (Isaiah 2:22)! Have you been trusting in your body structure, status, earnings, or inheritance? You’d better put your total hope in God, because only He changes not (Malachi 3:6).
“However, never despise the help of man, because God will not come down physically but, don’t just trust in man.” Be Born Again!

PRAYER
- Father! Forgive all my total or partial negligence to you. Therefore, henceforth, please help me to trust in you wholeheartedly.
- Daddy, if you don’t help me, I’m doomed. Therefore! Do something tangible in my situation (mention) before this month ends.
- Pour your fresh oil on me and never allow me go dry of your favour, mercies, anointing, and providence anymore.
