Ever wondered why some products occasionally get recalled from circulation? It’s because there was an error during their production (process). You can imagine how distasteful a half-boiled food would be; that’s what it feels when we proceed before the set time.
The Bible presents an explicit example of Elisha who went through the process of diligence and service to his master; so that he got the double portion of Elijah’s anointing. Now, Elisha also had a servant (Gehazi) who should have possessed his mantle, but because he was in haste to become a product bypassing the process, he missed it (2 Kings 5:20-27). Similarly, Judas got into the negative side of history because he fumbled in his discipleship (Luke 22).
The point here is that we shouldn’t emerge before we are due. For instance, family and peer-pressure have pushed many youths into immorality and wrong choice in marriage. Many want to be like Pastor Adeboye and the Reinhard Bonnke’s, but they are not willing to pay the price. Oh! To become spiritually and physically sound, the aroma from the kitchen shouldn’t cause you to break a fast.
Beloved, the law of existence demand processes in everything. When Jesus said ‘greater works than this shall you do’ (John 14:12), there are more to it— there are actions involved before you can command the forces of darkness to obey.
WHAT NOW?
Are you ready to go through the process of consecration and obedience? Have you been struggling with your developmental stage? If yes! Hold on and put more effort, there’s a time for your glorious ascension, as our text reads. And I decree, you and I shall not miss it, in Jesus’ name. Be Born Again!
