A NEW SONG!
Psalms 40:1-5 (3)
And he hath put a new song in my mouth even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the lord.
A new song in this context refers to a fresh chapter of one’s life depending on the individuals. For example, to Mr. A, a new song could be healing from sicknesses whereas for Mr. B, it can be to acquire a new house, cars, businesses or getting married amongst other things. And so, I decree! Whatever represents a new song to you, receive it, in Jesus’ name.
Beloved, we serve a God of new things (Isaiah 43:19) whose mighty hands are stretched out (Jeremiah 32:17) to take us to new heights at every stage in time. How do I know? In Genesis 30:22-24, Rachael sang a new song when God opened her womb. Likewise, in Mark 5:1-20, the madman of Gadarenes’ destiny was tamed by 6,000 demons but he sang a song of freedom just as Israel did in Exodus 15:1-11. Furthermore, Peter after toiling fruitlessly sang a new song (Luke 5:4-7), as well as the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34).
Therefore, what is that new song you crave for as we march into April? Because when God changes your level, that’s a new song. When you move from being single to married, it’s indeed a new song. Oh! You want to go international… Name it! Whatever it is you desire; you can get them in Christ. If only you’ll cry out as Bartimaeus did in Mark 10:47-52, then your testimonies shall be as it is written in today’s reading. Thus, do you need a new song? It’s available now. Grab your own copy!
