LIVING FOR OTHERS!
Proverbs 11:25
The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
A cow gives milk to the whole village and doesn’t shout. But, when a hen lays one egg that cannot even feed a child, it shouts for the entire village to know that it has laid just a single egg. It’s so amazing how people who gave you very little assistance shout about it for years (Matthew 6:1-2), while those who made significant contributions to your life rarely talk about it (Proverbs 27:2). Hmm… No wonder, William Gurnall quipped that, “Least doers are the greatest boasters.” (Galatians 6:3) And so, I pray! Every iota of pride in you and I are destroyed today, in Jesus’ name.
Therefore, let’s live our lives like a candle which burns itself to give light to others (Matthew 5:16). Have you noticed that nothing in nature lives for itself? Rivers don’t drink their own water. Trees don’t eat their own fruits. The sun doesn’t give heat for itself. Flowers doesn’t spread fragrance for themselves. Why? Simply because, ‘living for others is the rule of true existence’ (Mark 10:44-45). Therefore, as children of God we should demonstrate His love to the world such as He deliberately gave His only son so that you and I can be saved from damnation (1 John 4:10). Be Born Again!
PRAYER
1. Father, help me never to underutilise the cause of redemption and the power in Your name.
2. Holy Spirit, kill every pride, envy and wickedness in me.
3. My glory! What are you doing in the waters? Come out by fire!
4. Helpers that will make me forget my pains. Locate me by fire!
5. Father, please help my helpers so they can remember me, thereby I can help others.
YOU SHALL NOT BE WASTED IN DESTINY
