THE BIRTHDAY
Bible Text: 1 Peter 5:8
The stage was set for Tom’s 3rd birthday party as friends and neighbours begin to arrive. Meanwhile, the family quickly went on a private picnic down the Peace River in British Columbia. Whilst there, Tom who was play-driving his toy truck suddenly stumbled into the fast-moving stream and just in a second, this little soul was gone. Tom’s parents were condemned to a life of pain and regrets. I pray! This year, you and I shall not eat the bread of sorrow in Jesus’ name.
Similarly, I once watched a football highlight where a footballer having scored a goal celebrated by somersaulting but sadly he landed wrongly and died instantly. Oh! Can I pray for you? That your celebrations shall not turn to wailing and mourning, in Jesus’ name. Therefore, what are you actually celebrating? Is it your wedding, graduation or birthday? Whatever it is! ‘A little here, a little there’ is what you need (Isaiah 28:10). More importantly, be spiritually sensitive and vigilant (Mark 13:33); for you might never tell when the enemy will strike (John 10:10-A).
Be Born Again!
PRAYER
1. Father, I thank You for protecting me l, families, friends and nation.
2. Daddy, save me from every pending evil and tragedy.
3. Any power planning to turn my day of glory to agony, die!
4. Lord, terminate sorrows, sicknesses, shame, poverty, worries and anxiety in my life and family.
5. Father, let me sing a new song.
