THE BIRTHDAY

Bible Text: 1 Peter 5:8

The stage was set for Tom’s 3rd birthday party as friends and neighbours begin to arrive. Meanwhile, the family quickly went on a private picnic down the Peace River in British Columbia. Whilst there, Tom who was play-driving his toy truck suddenly stumbled into the fast-moving stream and just in a second, this little soul was gone. Tom’s parents were condemned to a life of pain and regrets. I pray! This year, you and I shall not eat the bread of sorrow in Jesus’ name.

Similarly, I once watched a football highlight where a footballer having scored a goal celebrated by somersaulting but sadly he landed wrongly and died instantly. Oh! Can I pray for you? That your celebrations shall not turn to wailing and mourning, in Jesus’ name. Therefore, what are you actually celebrating? Is it your wedding, graduation or birthday? Whatever it is! ‘A little here, a little there’ is what you need (Isaiah 28:10). More importantly, be spiritually sensitive and vigilant (Mark 13:33); for you might never tell when the enemy will strike (John 10:10-A).

Be Born Again!

PRAYER

1. Father, I thank You for protecting me l, families, friends and nation.

2. Daddy, save me from every pending evil and tragedy.

3. Any power planning to turn my day of glory to agony, die!

4. Lord, terminate sorrows, sicknesses, shame, poverty, worries and anxiety in my life and family.

5. Father, let me sing a new song.

YOU ARE NO MORE A VICTIM BUT A VICTOR

LOOK BEYOND IT

Bible Text: 2 Kings 4:16-37 (26)

Life may be full of trials and fear of tomorrow. Our nations are endowed with resources but people still live in abject poverty. Most pathetic is the level of insecurity and increased rate of unemployment. However, today God is saying: Dear Child, “Don’t be moved by those circumstances; I will help you! (Isaiah 41:10-13). In today’s reading, the Shunammite woman having lost her son was so courageous that when asked about the child, she would say, ‘It is well’. Because, she placed her focus farther than her travails until her son was revived. Similarly, in 1 Samuel 17:32-58, little David looked beyond the imminent danger to challenge and defeat Goliath. Hmm…The grace to confront and conquer, receive it, in Jesus’ name!

In 1861, Abraham Lincoln became the 16th President of America at age 52 having been contesting since he was 27. He continuously ignored his electoral failures until he got to the White House and even after decades he is regarded as the father of democracy. Come to think of it! What if he had quit? Would he have gotten into the book of history? Eh! That’s why your present condition wouldn’t matter in years to come, if you don’t give up (Job 14:7-9). Because, “testimonies are born out of tests”. Beloved, refuse to be distracted by your age, status, financial, career and marital issues. You can still finish well if you’ll focus on the end prize; for your glory is just too near to quit. Hold on and be Born Again! (Isaiah 59:1-2).

PRAYER

Thank God for life, providence and for a favoured week.
Decree Isaiah 60:1-3 and Numbers 14:28. Then, begin to speak to God’s hearing. He will answer you! (Jeremiah 33:3)
Lord! Cause me to rise above every challenges and make me a solution to my generation!

“If you bow to that challenge, you are a coward.” (Proverbs 24:10)

1. Father, I ask for Your mercy and compassion over my life. Please, forgive all my sins and disobedience.

2. Father, I thank You for the gift of life, guidance and provision, in Jesus’ name.

3. Father, prompt me in all ways to obey You so I can multiply in grace and prosperity, in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, I’m tired of begging, lacking and borrowing. Please, make me a lender, in Jesus’ name.

5. Father, show me the secret to my generational wealth and hidden treasures, in Jesus’ name.

6. Father, by Your mightiness, please let my cup always overflow with new wine (celebrations), in Jesus’ name.

7. Father, use me to promote the gospel, give to the needy and lend to nations, in Jesus’ name.

8. Father, help me to honour You with my first fruits and to be a faithful tither so that things will not be tight for me anymore, in Jesus’ name.

9. Father, let our homes, friends and neighbours, churches and nation overflow in sufficiency, in Jesus’ name.

10. Begin to speak into your week. Ask whatever good things you desire. It shall be done!

Thank God for instant answers to prayers and be at your local church. No more lack and sorrowing, in Jesus’ name.

Also, few months back, after a prayer programme, God revealed the true picture of a man I nearly got married to. I give Him all the glory for not allowing me to fall into error.

Beloved, testimonies are ways of giving praises to God (Luke 17:16-19) and a means by which we encourage others in the faith (1 Timothy 6:12). Therefore, are you believing God for an urgent miracle in marriage, health or finance? If any! Why not get into the habit of thanking God first? I mean praising Him in advance as Christ always did (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Then, you’ll see the instant manifestation of His power in your situation. However, are you Born Again?

BAD MAN IN HEAVEN

BAD MAN IN HEAVEN!

Matthew 19:21-30 (30)

But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

Of whose benefit shall it be accorded if a man has lived righteously but lost eternity? (1 Corinthians 10:12). It’s a tragedy! On the other hand, someone who has been a sinner, carnal minded, rapist, cultist, sex-worker, herbalist, or even a condemned criminal who caused many sorrows and pains could still make it through to heaven (Luke 23:32-43). No wonder, a pastor once said that ‘the worst thing that can ever happen to a Christian is to be killed suddenly by a witch because you might be caught unawares (Luke 21:34), while the killer may repent and end well’.

In Luke 16:19-31, Lazarus fed from the leftovers of a rich man and one day they both died that Lazarus made it to heaven while the rich man went to hell. Meaning that, ‘the well-known chairman of the church’s harvest committee may end up in perdition (Matthew 19:23-24), while that poverty stricken fellow in the congregation might be the genuinely saved one’ (Luke 21:1-4). Just as the Pharisee and the publican (sinner) went to pray. The humble publican prayed for mercy while the so-called holy man (Pharisee) prayed by shouting and condemning others. Hence, the publican was justified over him (Luke 18:9-14).

Beloved, we need to be conscious and cautious of our steps daily by setting the Holy Spirit as our screener (1 Corinthians 6:19). Because! No matter how spiritual you might think to be, just a little error could make an eternal difference. Take heed! What are those tiny sins you count as nothing (Hebrews 12:1), you’ll abstain from them lest they drag you to hell (Romans 6:23) Oh! Maybe you’re that fellow, who has been disgraced and neglected because of your bad past, don’t give up the hope, you can still be that ‘Bad man in Heaven’, if you’ll surrender wholeheartedly to Christ today!

PRAYER

1. Father, I repent/rededicate my life today. Please, write my name in the book of life and help me never to end this race in damnation.

2. You spirit of religiousness! (No genuine conviction in Christ), I cast you out of my life, vicinity and the church.

“The top racer may come last while the last can still end up a winner. Watch it!”

A THIEF IN PARADISE

A THIEF IN PARADISE!

Bible Text: Luke 23:32-43 (42)

No man is opportune to know when he or she will die as death is the sudden judge (Hebrews 9:27). Therefore, there is a place we are going after our sojourn on earth; a city made of gold as of crystal glass (Revelation 21:9-25). Heaven is that great city of the righteous (Revelation 21:27), while hell is the destination for unrepentant souls (Matthew 13:37-51). Hmm… What are thy works? In today’s reading, one of the thieves despite being condemned still made it through to eternity while Bro. Judas, a disciple ended in hell (Matthew 27:3-5).

Similarly, in Luke 16:19-31 is the story of Lazarus who made it to paradise whereas the rich man went straight down to perdition. And so, beloved, have you been faithful all along? Glory be to God! Nevertheless, take heed lest you miss out (1 Corinthians 10:12). Because, “there’s a bad man on his way to eternity while the so-called righteous may end up in hell”. Brother! You may have robbed and killed before. Sister, you might have had series of abortions amongst other sins. But, today there is hope for you because your rugged past doesn’t matter (Isaiah 1:18), your final end is what matters to God (Ecclesiastes 7:8).

If you’ll surrender wholeheartedly to Jesus today. He’ll blot out your sins and give you a new personality (2 Corinthians 5:17).

PRAYER

1. Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that You died so I can be saved. Therefore, have mercy on me and forgive all my sins and bad past (mention).

2. Holy Spirit, I need You every moment. Come and dwell afresh in me to lead my path till the end.

3. I shall not fail at the edge of breakthroughs

WITH CHRIST… NO GUILT IN LIFE NOR FEAR IN DEATH!

THE EXPERIENCE (2)

Bible Text: John 4:23

Those years when I was about to finish school, reality dawned on me that I began to think of ‘what next?’ as the future looked bleak and blinking. But on a night, the Lord spoke to me clearly, “Son, if you’ll hearken and obey Me, I will help you” (Isaiah 41:10-13). And ever since, through the help of the Holy Spirit I have never looked back, and it is what has birth this daily devotional today. Because, until we discover our core purpose and reasons why we suffer particular reoccurring problems and situations; we may never fulfil God’s agenda for our destiny.

For example, Uncle Peter might never be heard of if he had not experienced the drought which brought that experience with Christ (Luke 5:1-11). In other words, you and I need a constant re-encounter so we don’t misalign and fall off the divine radar. As a matter of fact, many of us have left our first love (Revelation 2:4). We have forgotten how and where we first had that encounter with Jesus. Oh! This morning, Jesus is calling… that you return to the basis. He wants a renewed committed relationship with you (Revelation 3:20).

Therefore, you want to pray for the fire of revival to spend and be spent for God, and if you are yet to accept Christ, do it now!

PRAYER

Father, make me profitable more than ever before.
Father, I cannot continue to live a visionless and directionless life. Please, show me the way of my progress.
Lord, give me a life-long experience and a relationship (with You) that will change my entire life completely.

THE HOLY SPIRIT SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS… WAIT ON HIM!

THE EXPERIENCE!

Bible Text: Exodus 19:9-11

Bro. Peter laboured all night and couldn’t catch a single fish. But, when he met with the one who made the sea and universe, he got the transformation of a lifetime (Luke 5:1-11). Likewise, Saul, a devilish oppressor of Christians was on his way to Damascus when he had an encounter with the Lord. Hence, his name was changed to Paul (Acts 9:1-22), and later became one of the greatest apostles (1 Corinthians 15:9-10).

Beloved, “without a personal experience with God such as Moses constantly had, you’ll lack divine direction”. Yes! Because, you are yet to know of God’s purpose and agenda for your life or assignment. About a year ago, a policeman came to us after he was sacked for bribery. And so, we gave him a few prayer points which led him into a personal encounter with God.

Consequently, he discovered his spiritual gifting and got a change of story that someone gave him a car gift to start business. I’m praying for you that the good problem that will move you to fulfilling God’s purpose in your generation shall happen to you, in Jesus’ name. Therefore, “the reason you haven’t been successful in that career, trade or dubious acts might be because God wants an encounter with you”. Discover your purpose today and be genuinely Born Again!

PRAYER

1. Father, please give me a life-changing encounter with You today, in Jesus name.

2. Father, I’m ready to obey and serve You. Please, help me fulfil my destiny, in Jesus’ name.

DO THE HOPE: YOU CAN STILL MAKE IT!

Bible Text: John 16:33

Terry Fox lost his right leg to cancer in 1977 and therefore was bent on making a unique impact through fundraising for victims. And so, in creating awareness he embarked on a marathon to cover 26 miles per day. However, unfortunately on the 1st of September, 1980 having raised over $2 Million from 3339 miles, Terry was again diagnosed of a cancer of the lungs. Hence, he couldn’t continue and his dreams went crashing. Hmm…Life could be daunting after all Christ never promised all would be rosy but nevertheless, when it looked as if Terry’s dream had collapsed a staggering $10.2 Million was raise from the fans.

What a dream come true it was but on the 28th day of June, 1981, Terry lost the battle and till date his foundation, “Marathon of Hope” has transformed many lives and the entire nation of Canada. And so, what are those hopes and aspirations you’ve got that seems to have been cut short by fear and lack of funds or encouragement amongst other things? Don’t panic! Because Joseph also had dreams of greatness that was almost thwarted by circumstances of life (Hatred, envy, slavery and temptations). But, did he not fulfil destiny? More so, he got 13 blessings in a day (Genesis 41:37-45).

Beloved, you want to pray because it’s only in Christ that you and I can scale through these hurdles of life as challenges will always come (Psalms 37:24). Therefore, never allow depression or anxiety to rob you because you are not alone (Isaiah 43:2), God is with you except you are not born again. So, accept Him today, He’ll shield you from every storm!

PRAYER

1. Father, in my season of trials please encourage me and send help speedily.

(Prayer of Decree)

You my life! You shall not be shortened for you are God’s priority. You shall fulfil destiny and be a blessing to generations. Therefore, I will never give up or look down on myself again. So help me God!

THERE IS A SURE HOPE IN CHRIST… DON’T MISS OUT!

#Praise and #Worship

1. Father, I worship You for the free gift of life in me.

2. Father, thank You for not allowing the plans of the enemy to prevail over my loved ones and I.

3. Father, in Your mercy please forgive all my sins and trespasses, in Jesus’ name.

4. I challenge my life, foundation and destiny with the fire and blood of Jesus, in Jesus’ name.

5. Blood of Jesus, neutralise and nullify every satanic investment in my body and dream life, in Jesus’ name.

6. Thou spider, snail and tortoise anointing operating in my life, career, marriage and ministry. Catch fire and roast to ashes, in Jesus’ name.

7. Every barrier limiting my loved ones and I to the downside of life. Today! Scatter by fire, in Jesus’ name.

8. Evil covenants, ungodly affairs and foods that I was fed with that is now working against my glory. Be wiped away by the blood of Jesus.

9. Father, this very week and beyond help me to please You in all areas, in Jesus’ name.

10. Begin to talk to God about those urgent needs. Don’t limit yourself for all things are possible (Mark 9:23)

Let’s thank God for instant answers to prayers even as we attend today’s church service. God shall meet all your needs through His word today. Therefore, get ready to receive and activate it. It shall be well…
