SHINE YOUR LIGHT

Bible Text: Matthew 5:13-16 (16)

In life, everyone desires to be agents of light that glows through the dim just as Jesus said in John 8:12, “If you abide in me, you’ll never walk in darkness but, rather be a shining light”. But the question is: Are you a genuine light? Because, as Christians we are the salt of the earth, or how can you fly an airplane without the pilot? Meaning that: this year, you and I should be a global channel for Christ and, if our light can so shine, then the world will be willing to follow us”.

You think unbelievers need to get to church before they are moved to repentance? No o! They are watching us! (1 Peter 2:12). Therefore, can the world see Jesus through us? (Colossians 1:25-29). You’ve got many church titles but when you speak about Christ, people are unwilling. Check! What are your works? Is your light still burning? (Luke 12:35). Oh! God has blessed me with riches and ideas, but what impact have I on others to lead them to the truth, or how can they feel the love of Christ in you? (Luke 3:10-11).

“To be holy doesn’t mean to be poor” (3 John 2). Therefore, let God’s glory be seen on you; “Use what you have to spread His works and as you do so, the world shall come to your rising’’. Be Born Again to shine the light!

PRAYER OF COVENANT

Father, as I begin a new year, I promise to spread Your gospel and testimonies to the world. Therefore, empower, strengthen, inspire and bless me for the world to see and come to Your light, in Jesus’ name.
