THE THANKFUL LEPER
Â
Bible Text: Luke 17:11-19 (17)
Â
It’s not always about the money that makes a man rich, but it’s actually about the grace of God in our lives to witness yet another year and season. Oh! You think it’s about your religiousness, skills, fame or beauty that you are alive? Why not check the hospitals and graveyards to see many destinies and potentials lying helpless? No wonder, “one may never appreciate this free gift of life until he’s faced with a tragedy of life and death”. Don’t wait till then, praise God in advance! (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Â
Beloved, this few days of 2017, you and I will again count our blessings (no matter how little you thought it to be) and appreciate this God who has kept us from all evils and disasters (Deuteronomy 31:6). Because, many had wished to see the new year, but they couldn’t. Therefore, don’t be an ingrate, rather, be like “the thankful leper” who was made whole just because he returned to give thanks (Luke 17:11-19). Meaning that, “until we are grateful for what we’ve received, our testimonies may not be perfected.”
Â
And so, this year, let no praise cease from your mouth. Bless God at all times (Psalms 34:1). Be Born Again!
PRAYER
Â
As you give God a wholehearted thanksgiving through your praises today, I can assure you that all your blessings for the year shall begin to unfold, in Jesus’ name.
