Matthew 6:25-34 (31)
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
In 1988, Bobby McFerrin sang the popular hit track, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” and has since been a sort of blessing ministering to many globally. Because in this world, many things could give rise to worries and anxiety such that we lose hope in Christ. Nevertheless, God is saying to someone today, “Don’t be bothered about it; everything will be alright”. But then, what are you actually disturbed about? How to survive? Thank God! You’ve a Father who is all-sufficient (2 Corinthians 9:8) to give you abundance as of Peter in Luke 5:1-8.
Oh! Are you worried about your career and finances? Remember in Matthew 17:27, money was brought out of a fish’s mouth and besides, if ordinary grasses could be clothed as read in today’s scriptures; how much more you? Therefore, I may not know the main cause for your worries but I know that if you’ll stick to God and Him alone (Psalms 27:14), He shall come through for you where you least expect. So! Don’t worry, just pray and be joyful.
In conclusion, let us be wise never to allow the devil to cheat us again because fear and worrying are twin killers which bring doubts, distrust and faithlessness leading to compounded problems as well as causing heart related issues and abnormal blood pressures. Thus, let’s develop the boldness to always “ask whatever we desire by faith prayerfully (James 1:6, Matthew 21:22), knowing fully well that the same Jesus is ever present to hearken to us (Hebrews 13:8). However, “if you are not of God, you remain a recipient of torments from Hell”. Be Born Again!
1. Father, quench every iota of fear and worries in my life today (mention). Take over my affairs!
2. Altars of darkness, sponsoring problems into my life, crash down!
3. pray about your week and ask for your urgent needs.
